Curriculum
The TC curriculum stresses learning through play. A child's social, emotional and intellectual growth is interrelated and development occurs as a child is ready. Each day children will experience play-oriented activities that are meaningful to them as they begin to think about numbers, develop literacy, and work out social relationships.

The program's curriculum stresses:

  • Learning through play and interaction with teachers and other       children
  • Participating in hands-on activities and experiences
  • Learning to function effectively within a group as well as independently
  • Fostering self-esteem through authentic accomplishment
  • Development of pre-reading and pre-writing skills
  • Fostering and furthering the development of children's own interests
  • Providing interest areas for dramatic play, block building, art activities, tactile                     experiences, puzzles, games and manipulatives
  • Playing outdoors daily on our private fenced playground or in our gross motor room
  • Exploring our community on walking field trips in the neighborhood
  • TC offers scholarships and fee assistance to families with demonstrated financial need. In addition, the program accepts state subsidy child care certificates.
