Fundraisers

There are many ways to help raise money for Total Child. We rely on our fundraising activities to help keep our programs affordable, to provide scholarships, and to maintain our high level of quality early childhood education. 

Fundraising Projects at TC vary from year to year, but the following events are typically held:

The Annual Fundraiser and silent auction is for parents of children enrolled at TC. It usually is held at a restaurant in Evanston and has often included entertainment. It is a wonderful event and is the largest fundraiser for the school.

Total Child's Annual Fundraiser and Silent Auction for 2008

The 2008 Fundraiser and Silent Auction was a huge success! Thank you to all the businesses and families that donated items for the Silent Auction, and thank you to each of you from our TC families and friends who supported the fundraiser! Proceeds are being calculated now and we hope to make an announcement next week. All proceeds will go toward the TC Scholarship fund to provide financial assistance to families who need our help. Thank you!

Annual Gift Wrap Sale - For several weeks each September, the TC community sells and purchases gift wrap, gift wrapping supplies and special gift items. To submit orders online:

• Go to www.sallyfoster.com and choose "Give Credit"

Dominick's & eScrip - You can now help raise money for Total Child simply by using your Fresh Values card at Dominick’s!

By signing up at www.escrip.com, 1-4% of your monthly grocery purchases at Dominick’s will go to Total Child.

2. Fill out requested information (information will not be shared with other businesses)

4. Finish registration by clicking “next” until you get to confirmation page

GoodSearch - What if Total Child earned money every time you searched the Internet or shopped online? 

Well, now we can!

Total Child has been registered on GoodSearch, as seen in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Fortune, USA Today, and on NBC.

GoodSearch is a Yahoo-powered search engine that donates ad revenue - a penny per search - to the charity its users designate. Just go to www.goodsearch.com and enter “Total Child” as the organization you want to support, then download the Goodsearch toolbar to your browser.

Once you’re on board with GoodSearch, you’ll have access to GoodShop, where online purchases from Amazon, eBay, Target, Apple, Expedia, and hundreds of other merchants earn money for our great school. 

Now, every time you use GoodSearch or GoodShop, Total Child will now receive a direct donation to raise money for books, supplies, and equipment at no cost to any of us!

Bake Sales are held each spring. In the spring or early summer a bake sale is held during the Evanston Farmer's Market, and proceeds support the Judy Ward Fund for TC staff development.

"Give a Gift to TC" Campaign is held during the holiday season each December. TC families and alumni families are invited to include TC in their holiday gift giving. Each year's campaign has a specific goal.
